Yup, there was the big male and female. The smaller ones creeping in are small males that will try to move in at just the right time to get some of the missed eggs fertilized. Resourcefulness.
I caught a small male that had some serious gash wounds from getting bit. Those males teeth grow crazy before the spawn.
That was pretty cool to watch...amazing creatures.
