nothing special
Like a moth to flame, I’m once again drawn back to the river. Flows are on the way back down and the crowds are starting to finally dwindle but just a bit. Fished a new section of water on the Milwaukee and have nothing exciting to report. A few salmon still running around and zero trout so far. Looking back at last year, I didn't get on the trout until November was in the double digit days anyways. More to come…

DeleteI am also hearing the water calling my name. I haven't caught a nice fish since midsummer, and I am itching to get at it again! I am looking forward to hearing about your next adventure.

DeleteImpatience is killing me too, but you're right, looking through my archives I noticed most of the steelhead I've caught were from mid November through Ice up. FYI, I've been doing ok at the next pool above this run (about a 1/4 mile upstream)and also the next bridge downstream.
