Shortest post ever, unless your philosophy is that a picture is worth a thousand words. If that's the case then wow, what a lengthy post! Seriously though, I love wading birds. Try to find an American Bittern or Black Crowned Night Heron sign next time.
yup, birds are super sweet, if you can get 1000 words out of the photo then the artist did something right! sure hope it makes it through the wet and cold winter ahead
Many a day I have been outfished by one of these wading birds. As many times as I have thrown them a small fish, I have yet to have one of them offer me a keeper in return.
You'll see the heron all the time in the warmer weather hanging out by that discharge just outside the left of the frame. It's pretty cool that someone took the liberty of making a sign for it.
