    Where exactly are these falls located---they are outstanding. Have you ever fish the creeks that supply the water for the falls? Thanks for sharing

    1. on the other side of the mountains the gatlinburg, these are the foothills around hendersonville nc and dupont and chimney rock are all about same area. we stayed on the other side of the mountains to check out the asheville area

      yup, trout water from the base of the falls and it flows into the davidson river that is a top trout stream for the state

  4. I thought those falls looked familiar. What's a Yankee like you doing this far south. :) It's not that cold in chitown yet.. You should have gave me a heads up. I could have shown you some good brookie water in sc. Have a great Holiday!

      mountains, trout, waterfalls, warm weather... whats not to like.

      asheville is really a cool city and my wife already wants to head back down to the smokies this spring, ill drop you a line next year
