Awesome article on spring steelhead. I am headed up to Milwaukee in a couple of weeks for my first steelhead experience - can't wait! In particular thanks for the "fly selection" piece, I have tied up most of those patterns but I saw a few last minute additions that will fill my next couple of weekends!
Take your time even if you don't get one on your first trip. Once you hook a steelie on the fly it will be a one of a kind! You might wanna try a smaller river 1st cause its easier to find some fish. Check out Kletzch park on the Milwaukee its my fav...
